Hello, my name is Scott Green, and I'm the face behind Starswept. I started designing websites as a hobby in 1997, a result of some HTML classes as part of my shop requirements in high school. For the better part of the last decade, I had been hosting websites for local metal bands (my other passion) on my website, 665.org. With the advent of Myspace, most bands have been going in that direction rather than having a dedicated website, so there hasn't been much need for 665 recently. Expanding into commercial design was the result.

A lot of companies don't have a web presence at this point. For some, it's by choice, while others are overwhelmed by the idea. Being somebody who uses the web as his main source of information, it's frustrating to want to find pricing/services/menus and come up empty. I'm not alone in this regard, and being able to furnish this information to potential customers can equal profits that far outweigh a website's initial cost. Hence, my mission with Starswept: providing affordable design services to clients while catering to their needs. Many design firms have "packages" that they'd like to squeeze you into. Need more than a few pages or subsections? A bunch of pictures to demonstrate your product? Their price goes up exponentially. That's not how I operate - if you have a strict budget, I'll do my best to accomodate your requests.
